Q. Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hello! I’m Soo, the MD responsible for domestic sales at Wishcompany, and I have been in this role for eight years.
I’m known for my calm and steady working style. Since I joined the DMG Lab at its inception, the team sometimes calls me the “history book” of the lab!
Q. What kind of work are you currently doing?
As an MD, I focus on growing the sales and visibility of our brands.
For example, last year we launched a larger version of Klairs’ best-selling Blue Drop in Korea — a project that aligned perfectly with customer needs, timing and context.
I oversee the entire process, from planning and product development to sales strategy.
Q. What key skills are essential for your role?
I believe that a “great seller” is someone who understands their customers best.
That’s why I regularly visit stores to observe customer behaviour and constantly monitor reviews.
Equally important is the ability to turn these insights into action — strong execution is key.
In my opinion, the ability to transform good ideas into real results is what defines practical expertise.
Q. What is the team culture like in your lab? Do you have a unique way of working?
At DMG Lab, we strive to achieve the best possible outcome with the resources available to us.
Our mindset is always: 'What can we do with this?'
Because we work closely with our customers, thinking from their perspective comes naturally.
It’s a fast-paced team where we work together to bring ideas to life with energy and purpose.
Q. What made you decide to join Wishcompany?
Initially, I was drawn to the brand philosophy and products.
But it was the interview process that really convinced me.
From the first round with the team to the final one with our CEO, I felt that I was talking to people who shared the same vision.
By the end of the interview process, I knew that this was the kind of organisation I wanted to grow with.
Q. Do you have any advice for those considering joining Wishcompany?
It’s rare to find a company that combines great products with an equally great culture.
But Wishcompany truly has both, and I say that with confidence.
After eight years here, I can say that it was the right choice for me.
I'm sure it'll be the right choice for you, too!
